DeLeeuw Ranch is truly unique. It is rolling grasslands and hills covered
in fir, aspen, and juniper, which provide a home for mule deer, whitetails,
moose and bears. The scenery is spectacular. And all this within 10-15
minutes to the downtown area of the thriving city of Kamloops.
Of the 15 properties for sale, there are 8 left varying in size from 20 to 160
acres each with several good building sites, and all of which can become
comfortable estates. Some of these would lend themselves well to being
packaged for those wanting a larger acreage. Some offer the privacy of
woodland, others spectacular views. This land has been used for cattle
ranching for over 100 years and has been well cared for. It is recognized
as being some of the best grasslands in British Columbia.
Kamloops is a very attractive area to live in. As a regional centre, it combines
the amenities of a big city with the friendliness of a small town. Shopping is
well developed with major chains being represented and complemented by many
specialty stores. The city is a stop for concert tours of all types. Live
theatre is thriving, as is the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra.
The world-class Sun Peaks Ski Resort is 45 minutes away, and within a one hour
drive of the city are over 100 lakes filled with the famous Kamloops trout.
There are 14 golf courses with ranges of difficulty to challenge every level
of golfer. Kamloops is a 3 ½ to 4 hour drive to Vancouver, and 6 to 7 hours
from Calgary. The Airport is served by Air Canada, WestJet, and Pacific Coastal
Airlines.
Kamloops truly has a four seasons climate with sunshine being a major feature.
It is semi-arid with relatively short winters and warm dry summers.
We are going to keep on ranching and continue to enjoy our time working from the
back of a horse, but we're getting to that stage in life where we want to scale
back a little. We are not developers. These are titled ranch properties.
We hope you enjoy looking through these pages and will try to answer any questions
you may have.
